How chocolate is made – from bean to bar

Chocolate is made from the seeds of the cocoa tree, theobroma cacao, which originates from Central and South America and is also now grown in parts of West Africa. 

I was going to write the story of the journey from bean to bar. But why reinvent the wheel? Here master chocolatier Jacques Torres talks us through the process in an excellent five-minute video.
