Ramsay in hot water again…

After all Gordon Ramsay’s pronouncements against ready meals – including as recently as last Monday – it was perhaps inevitable that there should have been a big media splash on Friday that he was apparently using them himself in four of his smaller London outlets.

So… who’s the hypocrite? Is it Mr Ubiquitous? Or the media that gave him the high profile in the first place?

I can’t say I’m a big fan of Ramsay as a person, but I do get the feeling there’s a lot of media hype surrounding this. To me, a ‘ready meal’ implies something that’s been bought from M&S or a supermarket. This, instead, is something that happens to have been initially prepared in another kitchen – not really a ready meal in the sense we would normally use the words.
