Ooh, I love neeps. The pumpkin was just an attempt to make something that looked like them. As you say, though, plenty of black pepper (and butter) will disguise the taste anyway.

I’m not a lover of real neeps – or pumpkins, either. I need loads of black pepper to disguise the taste.

I wonder if sweet potato (preferably the African kind, not the sickly-sweet orange-coloured American ones) would go well with haggis?
