5F Park Food Court
622 Sukhumvit Road
Mr ND and I were out shopping and became a bit hungry around mid-day. We were in the Emporium shopping mall (Sukhumvit, on the corner with Soi 24, Phrom Phong BTS) at the time and so headed off to the Greyhound Café, which is a tried and tasted favourite. Unfortunately it was packed out – they even had a waiting list to get in. (Note to self: must remember to try to eat outside other people’s conventional eating times in future.)
We didn’t want to spend too much time hunting for an alternative, so we went up to the food court on the 5th floor of Emporium with the plan that we’d try the first place we saw that appealed to us. Café Fish seemed to fit the bill. It was an attractive looking café with an interesting menu of fish, salads, etc.
We ordered one fish dish and one salad to share.
We had pan-fried seabass with pepper sauce (green peppercorns) and chips. It was attractively presented in a “frying-pan”. I thought that the fish was a little bit dry but at least it was fresh and tasted good.
The Greek salad was nicely presented, large and very tasty.
Overall rating: 3½ out of 5
All in all it was good food, served by friendly staff, and the prices were reasonable. We would certainly go back if hunger pangs struck in Emporium again.
